Add your own Background effect

For Static Background effect the background resource picture should be in the BMP, PNG, or JPG format. Keep in mind the file limits are: 3000x2000 pixels resolution limit and a 2Mb size limit. The recommended size for images is 640X480 pixels. You can create resource pictures using any graphic editor program like Photoshop or choose any photo that is already in the formats listed above.

For Dynamic Background effects the background resource video file should be in the AVI format. Keep in mind the file limits are 100 Mb size and file should be coded by Indeo Video 5 codec.

Resource File - flower_backgroung.jpg looks like the picture below (size 640x480 px):

  1. Open ManyCam Options tab, press Add new effect button.

  2. Choose the Type Backgrounds, choose the Category - Static.

  3. Press the Browse button to select a Resource File. Select flower_backgroung.jpg. The Resource File will be displayed in the Add New Effect window.

  4. Type the effect name "My flower background", Created by "Author of flower background effect" and press the OK button.

The ManyCam new effect "My flower background" will be added to the Static category of Backgrounds type Effects. The Static category tab will be opened.

Resource File - backgroung.avi coded by Indeo Video 5 codec file.

  1. Open ManyCam Options tab, press Add new effect button.

  2. Choose the Type Backgrounds, choose the Category - Dynamic.

  3. Press the Browse button to select a Resource File. Select backgroung.avi. The Resource File will be displayed in the Add New Effect window.

  4. 1.Type the effect name "My dynamic background", Created by "Author of dynamic background effect" and press the OK button.

The new ManyCam effect "My dynamic background" will be added to the Dynamic category of the Background ManyCam Effects. Next go to ManyCam and open the Backgrounds category and choose "Dynamic" to see your imported effect.

Click on the new effect "My dynamic background" and its icon to use the new effect.
