Add your own Background effect

A resource file for a Static Background effect must be a .bmp, .png, or .jpg image. Static background resource files are limited to 2 Mb size and 3000x2000 pixels resolution. The recommended size is 640x480 pixels. You can create resource pictures using any graphic editor program like Adobe Photoshop or choose any existing image that fits the format, size and resolution limitations listed above.

A resource file for a Dynamic Background effect must be an .avi video file. Dynamic background resource files are limited to 100 Mb size and must be coded with the Indeo Video 5 codec.

Below is a sample Resource File - flower_backgroung.jpg (size 640x480 px):

  1. Open the Effects tab of ManyCam Options window and click the Add new effect button.

  2. Choose the effect's Type (Backgrounds) and Category (Static).

  3. Press the Browse button to select a Resource File. Select flower_backgroung.jpg. The Resource File will be displayed in the Add New Effect window.

  4. Fill the "Name" and "Created by" fields and press the OK button.

The "My flower background" effect will be added to Static Backgrounds. The Backgrounds\Static category tab will be opened.

Below is a sample Resource File - backgroung.avi coded by Indeo Video 5 codec file.

The "My dynamic background" effect will be added to Dynamic Backgrounds. The Backgrounds\Dynamic category tab will be opened.

Click the new effect's icon to use it.
